The expression of love and awe to God's Commandments is apparent in this beautiful Torah cover, or mantle. The Twelve Tribe Torah Cover masters the insignia of the 12 Tribes of Israel and their names, with each representing one of the 12 precious stones a garment worn by the Kohan Gadol (High Priest) in the Temple. The Choshen, or breastplate, was first worn by the High Priest Aaron, and subsequently worn by every High Priest in the Temple while performing holy duties. Each of the 12 stones has served as an expression of faith and optimism throughout the generations.
